What is cerebral palsy rehabilitation

Cerebral palsy rehabilitation is a rehabilitation approach for children with cerebral palsy. Mainly through relieving muscle tension, enhancing muscle strength, improving cerebral palsy motor function, to achieve the rehabilitation effect, including self-care ability, exercise, orthopedic appliances and other training, and with medication, rehabilitation treatment.
1. Self-care ability training: through games or homework activities, upper limb ability and daily movements are trained to promote coordinated body movements, so as to achieve the purpose of being able to take care of oneself and improve the quality of life.
2. Exercise training: including gross motor, fine motor, balance and coordination, etc., according to the degree of disease, physical condition, etc., choose the appropriate exercise training to promote the recovery of trunk and lower limb function, pay attention to the training time, and do a good job with the work.
3. Orthopedic device training: For spastic cerebral palsy, with spasticity of calf muscle groups and instability of ankle joints, orthopedic devices are needed to assist in the training, to prevent spasticity and atrophy of joints, and to promote recovery.
In addition, if there are speech, swallowing, cognitive, urinary and defecation disorders, corresponding rehabilitation therapy is also needed.
