Post-operative recovery from LASIK surgery

The length of the post-operative recovery period generally depends on the preoperative prescription (in general, the higher the prescription, the slower the recovery), as well as on individual differences and other factors. 1.3 days after surgery (1), general work can be performed. (2) Normal travel by airplane and train. 2.2 weeks after surgery (1), normal vision basically recovered, but close work should be minimized, and each work time should not be too long (within 1 hour is appropriate), interval rest about 5 to l0 minutes. (2), daytime driving can be resumed, but it is appropriate not to cause visual fatigue. Night driving is strictly prohibited during this period. 3.1 month after surgery (1), vision is basically stable, eye medication has been stopped; (2), resume daily work, study, life and sports. (3), night driving can be resumed, but for some patients, night glare may appear after surgery, so they should wait until the glare symptoms disappear before resuming night driving. 4.1 year after surgery: For patients with high myopia who need secondary surgery, this is a more suitable period. 5.Special note: Patients with high refractive error and those who are older than 40 years old will have a relatively longer post-operative recovery period.
