Freshmen are prone to three kinds of heart disease (above) – anxiety

In the golden autumn season of September and October, students start their brand new life on the university campus with their acceptance letters to realize their dreams. In this transitional stage, there will be a lot of college freshmen because they do not adapt to college life and a series of emotional behavior problems. If not handled properly can even appear serious psychological disorders, and even forced to give up their studies. Case 1: insomnia Zhang – very hard to adapt but always do not do well Zhang often insomnia since the beginning of the school year, almost a month now – sometimes not only can not sleep, easy to fall asleep and always dream, so that the next day wake up feeling like they have not slept I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to sleep. Not only that, but he is always anxious during the day, always thinking that there is something he has not done? Did he do something wrong? The doctor said, “You are too young to take sleeping pills, is there something in your heart that you can’t let go? You’d better go to the student counseling center to see.” Psychologist: the most common manifestation of maladjustment in college students is anxiety, performance distraction, restlessness, insomnia, worrying for no reason about whether they are doing well or not, or even expanding the negative impact of what they did not do well, and even scaring themselves. Let’s take a look at what makes Xiao Zhang so frightened? Analysis of the cause: It turns out that Zhang is a very strong personality of the boys, since childhood has been excellent in character. His parents took good care of his life in order to let him study quietly. As soon as college started, he found that he encountered many difficulties in his study and life that he had never thought of, but he did not give in and was determined to do all these things well, so he began to become more and more anxious and doubted even the things he could have done well. Too much thinking during the day, and naturally sleepless at night. Comment: Anxiety arises because we have the desire to change the status quo, but lack the ability to do so. In high school, many students’ lives were taken care of by their parents, so when we enter college, we are caught off guard by various problems we have never encountered before. We are anxious to adapt to college life as soon as possible, so of course, anxiety will arise. Anxiety is not entirely a bad thing, and moderate anxiety can be a motivation to make changes. However, if the anxiety is so severe that it affects the student’s rest and physical health, a psychologist’s intervention is needed. Solution: The psychologist’s advice to Zhang is threefold: firstly, he should learn to accept the reality that he is somewhat inadequate compared with other students who are capable of taking care of themselves, but this is the reality, and it is useless to be anxious, so it is better to accept his inadequacy openly; secondly, he should learn with an open mind. If you will not, the same to take it as their own mandatory course to learn.” The third is not to rush, since it is learning, then it needs a process, obviously not overnight. As the saying goes, you can’t get there fast enough, and the more anxious you are to do as well as other students, the more severe your anxiety will naturally be. He humbly accepted the psychologist’s advice …… Six months later, he had fully adapted to university life and his insomnia problem had disappeared without him realizing it.
