Is there any hope for metastasized cancer?

There is still some hope of treatment for metastatic cancer, and survival can be partially prolonged through active treatment, such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, etc. If localized metastasis occurs, the cancer is clinically in the locally advanced stage, and the treatment methods include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, etc. Even if distant metastasis of cancer occurs, don’t give up too soon, through active treatment, such as systemic chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, etc., some tumors can prolong the survival period, and even if they cannot prolong the survival period, the quality of survival can be improved. If supraclavicular lymph node metastasis occurs in lung cancer patients, the metastatic lymph nodes can be feasibly treated with radiation therapy to inhibit tumor cells, and the curative effect is still considerable. If bone metastasis occurs in breast cancer patients, radiotherapy, endocrine therapy, targeted therapy and other means can be used to reduce pain, improve the condition and prolong the survival period, and the patients can survive with tumor for a long time. If distant metastasis occurs, don’t be discouraged, actively cooperate with the treatment and standardize the treatment.
