What’s wrong with yellow discharge in older gynecologists?

Elderly gynecology with yellow discharge refers to yellow vaginal discharge in the elderly, which may be caused by diseases such as cervicitis, trichomonas vaginitis, senile vaginitis, reproductive system tumors and so on.
1. Cervicitis: This disease is mainly caused by pathogen infections, such as Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma genitalium and aerobic bacteria. Other causes include cervical injury, hormone level disorders, vaginal flora imbalance and so on. Most patients are asymptomatic, and those with symptoms will have increased leukorrhea, which is yellowish or purulent, and may also have symptoms such as abdominal pain and vulvar itching.
2. Trichomonas vaginitis: the basic cause of this disease is Trichomonas vaginalis infection, which can be transmitted directly through sexual contact, followed by indirect sexual transmission. The main manifestation is abnormal vaginal secretion, i.e. the secretion is yellowish white, yellowish green or grayish yellow.
3. Geriatric vaginitis: this disease is mostly caused by the decline of ovarian function and the decrease of estrogen, which may be related to malnutrition, vaginal atrophy, surgical removal of ovaries, poor hygiene habits and other reasons. Generally when combined with vaginal infections, there will be an increase in vaginal discharge, which may be yellow in color.
4. Tumor of reproductive system: yellow vaginal discharge may also occur when there is cervical cancer, endometrial cancer or fallopian tube cancer.
There are many reasons that cause yellow vaginal discharge in the elderly, so they should go to the hospital in time to clarify the specific causes of the disease and standardize the treatment under the guidance of doctors to avoid delaying the condition.
