Individual patients with kidney cancer taking targeted drugs can live for 16 years, but it is more difficult, and how long the specific survival time is related to the disease, pathology type, treatment and patient’s condition.
If kidney cancer needs to take targeted drugs, it is often in the middle or late stage of kidney cancer and may have lymph node or distant metastasis. At present, the longest survival time of oral targeted drugs is about eight to nine years, and the average survival time is three to five years, and it may be more difficult to live for 16 years. However, if the patient is in good health and responds well to the treatment, there is still hope to live up to 16 years.
It is uncertain how many years kidney cancer can live on targeted drugs, so it is recommended to go to the hospital to get a clear diagnosis and treatment so as not to delay the condition.
