Hypertension is generally categorized into 3 grades and 4 levels of risk based on the degree of elevated blood pressure and whether or not other risk factors are combined. Among the risk factors for hypertension are: ① men > 55 years old and women > 65 years old; ② smoking; ③ dyslipidemia (total cholesterol ≥ 5.7 mmol/ L); ④ obesity (BMI ≥ 28.0); ⑤ family history of early-onset cardiovascular disease (first-degree relatives with onset of disease at age 50 years old); ⑥ abdominal obesity (abdominal circumference ≥ 85 cm for men and ≥ 80 cm for women); and ⑦ lack of physical labor or physical activity. Hypertension 3 high-risk patients should be hospitalized for active treatment to maintain blood pressure at normal level and avoid complications. Usually pay attention to low-salt diet, appropriate physical exercise, if any discomfort, timely consultation.
