Dong, male, 57 years old. He was admitted to the hospital for 5 years due to dyspareunia. Prostatic hyperplasia combined with a giant bladder diverticulum was diagnosed after admission. Bladder diverticulum is a complication of advanced prostatic hyperplasia, which affects the function of the patient’s bladder forcing muscle and aggravates the symptoms of dyspareunia. We performed a mucosal stripping of the bladder diverticulum, closed the diverticulum, and performed transurethral plasma prostatectomy. After surgery, the patient’s voiding symptoms improved significantly, and the urinary flow rate suggested a maximum rate of 26 ml/s.
