What to do if you have altitude sickness

If you have plateau reaction, you can deal with it through general treatment and medication.
1. General treatment: after plateau reaction, patients should stop climbing or strenuous exercise immediately, and preferably rest in bed; secondly, according to the patient’s condition, oxygen can be inhaled through nasal catheter or mask, which can alleviate plateau reaction.

2. medication: for patients with headache, can follow the doctor’s instructions to take aspirin, acetaminophen and other drugs to relieve; if nausea and vomiting, can be used prochlorperazine, mepecromazine and other drugs to relieve; for the serious condition, you need to follow the doctor’s instructions to oral dexamethasone, acetazolamide and other reasonable treatment.
