Frequent squeezing of the eyes may be related to eye diseases (such as conjunctivitis, dry eye) or tic disorders.
1. Eye diseases: such as conjunctivitis caused by pathogenic microorganisms, chemical damage and other causes, often with red eyes, itchy eyes, foreign body sensation, tearing, increased secretion and other symptoms; dry eye, the common symptoms of dry eyes, foreign body sensation, photophobia or burning sensation. These diseases that make the eye produce foreign body sensation can cause frequent blinking.
2. Tourette’s syndrome: a psychosomatic disorder with involuntary multiple speech and behavioral problems, which can be characterized by frequent blinking, head nodding, nose sucking and other movements.
Parents are advised to bring their children to the hospital in time to get proper treatment for the cause of the disease if they find that their children frequently squeeze their eyes hard.
