Extraosseous Ewing’s sarcoma is a misnomer, the normal term should be extraosseous Ewing’s sarcoma, which belongs to the category of Ewing’s sarcoma occurring in the mesenchymal tissue outside the bone.
Ewing’s sarcoma is a small round cell tumor, clinically most of the corresponding tumors occur within the bone tissue, a small portion of cases will occur within the surrounding soft tissue, the pathological findings are consistent with the nature of the lesion within the bone, the diagnosis is extraosseous Ewing’s sarcoma. The corresponding tumor cells have low differentiation degree and high malignancy degree, with poor prognosis, and need early and standardized treatment after diagnosis.
The diagnosis of corresponding tumors is mainly combined with imaging examination and pathological biopsy for comprehensive judgment, most of them need to be controlled by radiotherapy after surgical resection, and the overall probability of recurrence and metastasis is relatively high, so it is necessary to pay attention to close follow-up.
