Preventing diabetes starts with children

  With the improvement of people’s living standards, obese children are increasingly coming into our attention. Type 2 diabetes is no longer the patent of middle-aged and elderly people, and the incidence of type 2 diabetes caused by obesity is increasing among children. The main cause of type 2 diabetes in children is unreasonable diet structure.  Nowadays, most children like to drink and eat fried food, like to eat food binge, do not like the food do not eat, which happens to be the most prominent point of the bad lifestyle that induces type 2 diabetes. Prevention of type 2 diabetes in children is important. Expectant mothers should strengthen genetic screening from pregnancy to delivery, and consume reasonable nutrition during pregnancy to avoid having an obese or low weight child.  After the child is born, breastfeeding should be adhered to and supplementary food should be added reasonably, less high-calorie food should be eaten, moderate amount of protein and high-fiber food should be chosen, reasonable intake of various fresh vegetables, fruits, lean meats, fats, fish and mixed grains, attention should be paid to cultivating good eating habits of the child from childhood, the diet of three meals a day should be arranged reasonably according to the age of the child, so that the child will not be hungry and full, no partial food, avoid too greasy, fried food and too much precipitate classification.
