What is hepatic adenoma?

Hepatic adenoma is currently considered as a precancerous lesion, but still belongs to the category of benign tumors. Some data suggest that the occurrence of hepatic adenoma is related to the long-term use of contraceptives in women, which can be induced by long-term exposure to high doses of progesterone, for example. However, this view does not apply to our patients, so the underlying cause of hepatic adenoma is still unclear. Patients with hepatic adenoma with special imaging performance under MRI and suspected hepatic adenoma are recommended to undergo surgery, which is more effective and can achieve cure.
