How to take Qingdai for mumps

Parotitis belongs to the category of “mumps” in Chinese medicine, which is a seasonal disease caused by wind, temperature, and toxicity that obstructs the Shaoyang meridian. Clinical symptoms include fever, swelling and pain in the parotid area under the ear. It is often characterized by the presence of evils in the Shaoyang area (between the half-expression and the half-li), and congestion of heat and toxins. For the treatment of mumps, 1.5g~6g of Chinese herbal medicine can be taken as powder or in pills.
Qingdai is salty in taste, cold in nature, and belongs to the liver meridian. It has the effects of clearing heat and removing toxins (removing heat and poison), cooling the blood and eliminating spots, and diarrhea and calming the mind (getting rid of the fire and making the mind relaxed and stable).
It is mainly used in treating warm and toxic spots (warm and hot toxic evils invading the body resulting in skin spots and plaques), blood-heat epistaxis (vomiting of blood and nosebleed due to blood-heat), chest pain and coughing up blood, mouth sores, mumps, laryngeal paralysis (redness, swelling and pain in the pharynx or dryness, foreign body sensation, or itchy throat with discomfort and difficulty in swallowing), etc. It can be taken internally as 1ml of this herb to remove heat and toxic evils.
It can be taken internally as 1.5g~6g powder or in pills, and externally as appropriate amount of dry sprinkle or poultice. This product is contraindicated for people with deficiency of cold and internal heat.
Patients with mumps who are suffering from heat and toxicity can be treated with Qingdai. A single drug has a limited effect, clinically, if discomfort occurs, you should go to the hospital in a timely manner, under the guidance of a professional physician treatment, follow the doctor’s instructions to take medication, do not self-medication, in order to avoid delaying the condition.
