Hand sweating is best treated between the ages of 16-25

In life you will find that there is such a group of people, their hands in winter as long as to the coat pocket, often sweat like a spring. The summer is even worse, every day hands are wet, and armpit sweat and foot sweat is also very serious. These are the people who suffer from hand sweating. Hand sweating is not a serious disease, but this phenomenon of abnormal sweating brings a lot of inconvenience to work, social life and life. Currently, the incidence of hyperhidrosis in China is 1 to 3 percent, mostly in adolescents, and the proportion of men and women affected is similar. Sweating disorder is mainly a disease caused by excessive secretion of sweat glands due to sympathetic overexcitation.” The sympathetic nerve governs sweating throughout the body, but sweating in patients with hand sweating is completely out of normal control, often from a very young age, hand sweating is severe, along with axillary and foot sweating, and in severe cases the fingers are like dripping water, while chronically moist hands often cause easy peeling of the skin. He also stressed that adolescents of school age often suffer from excessive hand sweat that gets their exam papers wet, which can easily cause them to develop low self-esteem. The causes of hand sweating are mainly divided into primary and secondary hyperhidrosis. Primary hyperhidrosis is mainly caused by sympathetic nerves and is easily triggered by emotional stress, while secondary hyperhidrosis is mainly caused by other reasons such as hyperthyroidism. The surgical treatment is mainly for hand sweating caused by primary hyperhidrosis. At present, thoracoscopic bilateral sympathectomy is the first choice for the treatment of this disorder, and the methods include cauterization, cutting, and clamping. The clinical method of “cutting” is mostly used. Patients should not be treated before the age of 16. Patients with moderate or severe disease before the age of 16, aged 12-50, who do not have significant sweating and are in good health with no other comorbidities, can be considered for surgery, and the best results are achieved before the age of 25. Some moderate and severe patients are best not to consider surgery immediately until the age of 16. This is because they are too young and the sweating symptoms are likely to slow down as they get older. We do not usually recommend surgical treatment for minors, and I would rather suggest that he be observed for a period of time before considering the need for surgery. Also, if the patient has severe pleural adhesions, bradycardia (less than 50 beats), or neuroticism, it is not recommended that these individuals improve the condition by means of surgery.
