How to treat retinal detachment

Retinal detachment is the separation of the retinal neuroepithelium from the pigment epithelium and can manifest as flashes of light in the eye, dark shadows in front of the eyes, loss of vision, and defects in the visual field. It can seriously affect vision and even cause blindness. There are three types of retinal detachment depending on the cause: exudative, foraminal and retractive. Different types will choose different treatments, as follows: 1. Exudative retinal detachment: treatment of primary disease is the main focus. 2.Pore-derived retinal detachment: early detachment limitation can be closed by laser photocoagulation of the fissure, if the detachment is enlarged then surgical treatment such as scleral ring ligation or external compression (also called external surgery), or vitrectomy, etc. 3.Extractive retinal detachment: according to the cause and the condition of retinal detachment, corresponding treatment is taken, including combined vitrectomy and retinal repositioning surgery. It is necessary to analyze and choose the treatment plan according to the condition of the retina. If you have the symptoms of retinal detachment, you must go to the hospital in time to check and confirm the treatment, the earlier the treatment, the better the effect. In order not to lose the best time for treatment due to negligence and delay, irreversible consequences, even if the surgery is successful, the vision can not be restored. Remember early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment.
