Overview of visual fatigue

Visual fatigue is a concept that we mention a lot nowadays. Visual fatigue is a common disease in ophthalmology nowadays. Patients have a variety of symptoms, commonly including unsustainable close work, pain around the eyes and orbits, blurred vision, dry eyes, and tearing, and in severe cases, headache, nausea, and vertigo. It is not an independent disease, but a group of fatigue syndrome caused by various reasons. Especially with the popularity of computers, TVs, cell phones and the accelerated pace of life, people use their eyes more and more frequently, especially some young students who tend to read and write for a long time due to the increased burden of schoolwork, which unknowingly induces eye fatigue. In daily life, people suffering from myopia, farsightedness or inflammation of the eyes themselves, such as trachoma, keratitis, etc. are more likely to trigger eye fatigue, and the elderly and menopausal women are also more likely to develop eye fatigue due to their own regulating ability declining.
