Sleep is a natural process, going to sleep when you need it and waking up when you don’t.
Patients with sleep disorders turn this natural process into a forced one. That is, “I have to sleep tonight or I will ……” from 3 or 4 pm to prepare for sleep at night, try to keep quiet, massage, drink hot milk, etc.. The result is still the same – lying in bed without the slightest hint of sleep.
Mental adjustment is an important part of treating insomnia. It is important to have a natural acceptance of sleep; one night or several nights of insomnia will not make a person mentally deranged. Shift your attention from sleep to life, because there are very many people and things in life that need your care and attention. For example, the people who love you and the people you love.
With a change of mind, sleep will naturally come back to you.
