Risks of nose repair surgery

When the first rhinoplasty is unattractive, unsatisfactory results and surgical failure affect the normal ventilation function of the nose, the candidate is recommended to have a repair surgery. The revision surgery is more difficult than the initial surgery because the nose has been damaged once, the scarred and fibrotic soft tissues, septum and cartilage structures have been damaged, the elasticity of the skin has deteriorated, and there are many limitations and challenges to repair. Therefore, the risk of surgery is greater compared to the initial surgery. In addition to the possible risks of the initial surgery, the more the number of surgeries, the more difficult it is to shape the nose, and the specific risks are as follows: 1. Local edema: the swelling will start to subside after 2-3 days, and will usually subside completely after 2 weeks; 2. Rejection reaction: local edema still does not subside after 3 weeks, and there is yellow liquid flowing out from the incision, which may be that the body still has a 3, infection: wound infection is not common, occasional occurrence can be anti-inflammatory, anti-infection treatment, such as inflammation spread to the surgical area, need to remove the prosthesis; 4, skin bruising: mostly seen in the back of the nose, such as surgery repeatedly and strongly inserted too large prosthesis, resulting in subcutaneous tissue contusion, generally can be self-receding; 5, local scarring and nasal tissue contracture.
