What are the TI-RADS grading standards

TI-RADS is a thyroid imaging reporting and data system that classifies the degree of benignity and malignancy of thyroid nodules. 1, 2, and 3 are benign nodules, and from category 4 onwards these nodules have the possibility of malignancy. The likelihood is basically around 80-90%. Some of the signs of malignant thyroid nodules include hypoechoic nodules, blurred or irregular margins, aspect ratios greater than one, lack of blood flow, and pitting calcifications. If a nodule has these features, the likelihood of malignant nodules is higher, and the grading is usually at 4-5.
