GERD esophagitis and gastritis which is serious

Which is more serious, gastroesophageal reflux disease or reflux esophagitis compared to gastritis, needs to be judged based on the patient’s specific condition. It is possible that some patients have both reflux esophagitis and chronic gastritis, but the clinical symptoms of GERD are more severe, while some patients may have relatively more severe clinical symptoms of gastritis, so the comparison is not fixed for both. In the case of reflux esophagitis, the patient’s clinical symptoms are not obvious, while gastritis is due to the presence of chronic atrophic gastritis, the chronic atrophic gastritis is considered to be more severe. If the patient has very obvious GERD symptoms, such as the presence of very severe acid reflux and heartburn symptoms, and the gastritis presents as a chronic superficial gastritis, the GERD is more severe.
