Urine appears red tea-colored, then the possible causes: 1, urine concentration, often seen in the state of dehydration or drink less water, or a long period of time without urination, or the emergence of urinary retention of patients, the urine color after catheterization appears red tea-colored. Usually there are no symptoms of urinary tract irritation such as urinary frequency and urgency and painful urination. After appropriate rehydration or hydration, the color of urine can return to normal and no special treatment is usually required. However, for patients with urinary retention, an indwelling catheter should be given. 2. When there is an increase in the level of bilirubin or urobilinogen in the urine, it can show a deepening of color, dark yellow or red-tea colored changes. If the urine is mixed with blood, it can be red-tea colored, or light pink, or flesh-wash colored, etc. A routine urine test is needed to confirm the presence of hematuria.
