A full crown restoration is a restoration of a tooth where a protective covering is prepared over the outside of the tooth in the case of a tooth that has suffered extensive tooth loss or abnormal color.
Full crown restorations mostly require the use of metallic porcelain, such as cobalt-chrome, palladium-silver, palladium-gold, or all-ceramic zirconia, such as aluminum oxide and zirconium oxide, to cover the entire surface of the crown, which can be used to restore the form, function, and aesthetics of the missing tooth, as well as to protect the remaining dental tissues, and as a retention device for fixed dentures.
The use of the tooth after full crown restoration is basically the same as the use of natural teeth, so it is a more common form of dental restoration. The first thing to do after a full crown restoration is to avoid eating too hard food, maintain oral hygiene, and have regular checkups.
Patients are advised to go to a regular dentist for such treatment.
