The following tests are performed for swollen legs in women: 1. routine urine and blood biochemical tests: detect protein in the patient’s urine and kidney function to exclude nephrogenic edema; 2. electrocardiogram and cardiac ultrasound: exclude cardiogenic edema caused by heart failure and other causes; 3. thyroid function test: exclude lower limb edema caused by reduced thyroid function; 4. estrogen level test: exclude lower limb edema caused by reduced estrogen secretion in menopausal women; 5. other: such as lower limb venous valve function test, liver disease screening, etc.
