The principle of treatment for intestinal obstruction is to relieve the obstruction in time and restore the smoothness of the intestinal tract. Non-surgical treatments, such as gastrointestinal decompression, anti-infection, etc. can be chosen according to the patient’s condition, or surgical treatments can be carried out to achieve a clinical cure, but there is still a certain degree of recurrence.
1. Non-surgical treatment: including gastrointestinal decompression, intravenous rehydration, anti-infection treatment and so on.
(1) Gastrointestinal decompression: insert the gastric tube from the oral cavity or nasal cavity, connect the disposable gastrointestinal decompressor, and lead the contents of the gastrointestinal tract, such as gases and liquids, out of the patient’s body, which can reduce the abdominal distension, lower the pressure in the intestinal lumen, reduce the bacteria and toxins in the intestinal lumen, improve the blood circulation of the intestinal wall, which is conducive to the improvement of the local lesions and the systemic condition.
(2) Intravenous rehydration: replenish fluids according to the patient’s condition to prevent water and electrolyte disorders caused by vomiting.
(3) Anti-infection: apply antibiotics against intestinal bacteria, including anti-anaerobic bacteria. Currently, the commonly used clinical drugs include cefotiam, cefozoxime, penicillin, metronidazole, etc.
2. Surgical treatment: For patients who do not see obvious effect of non-surgical treatment, according to the condition, choose intestinal resection and intestinal anastomosis, short-circuit surgery, intestinal stoma or intestinal exenteration for surgical treatment.
Intestinal obstruction is one of the common acute abdominal diseases, patients with intestinal obstruction are recommended to seek medical treatment in time, after a clear diagnosis by a professional doctor to assess the condition for treatment, so as not to delay the condition.
