Can norfloxacin capsules cure urinary tract infections?

Norfloxacin capsules generally treat urinary tract infections caused by bacteria to which it is sensitive.
Norfloxacin capsules belong to the quinolone class of antibiotics, mainly targeting gram-negative bacilli, which are the more common type of causative organisms for urinary tract infections. Norfloxacin can effectively inhibit the growth of gram-negative bacilli in the urinary tract and relieve urinary tract infections. Thus Norfloxacin capsules can treat urinary tract infections caused by the above mentioned reasons.
Norfloxacin is more effective in treating bacterial infections, but it cannot effectively control non-bacterial pathogen infections, such as mycoplasma, chlamydia, fungi and so on. In addition, the bacteria infecting patients with urinary tract infections may be resistant to norfloxacin. Therefore, the appropriate antibiotic should be selected according to the type of the patient’s infection-causing bacteria, such as amoxicillin, ofloxacin, cefuroxime and so on.
Patients with urinary tract infections are advised to go to the hospital in time to identify the causative organisms, and to carry out standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor, and not to use medication on their own.
