Risks of long nose correction surgery

Long nose correction surgery, or long nose shortening surgery, can be performed for long noses that are caused by a sagging tip and disrupt the balance of the entire face. Long rhinoplasty is a surgery to cut short the nasal bones and raise the height of the nasal tip. In nasal tip cartilage correction, which requires the most skill and experience, it can be corrected by removing the end of the cartilage and lifting and fixing the nasal cartilage at the tip of the nose. After a long rhinoplasty, the balance of the facial structure can be restored and the image can be shaped. However, there are certain risks associated with this surgery, as follows: 1, hematoma: hematoma is easily produced around the nose during surgery, occasionally seen in the inner canthus (inner corner of the eye), small hematomas can be absorbed naturally by the patient, while larger ones require medical treatment; 2, bleeding: bleeding after surgery, mostly due to rough operation or coagulation dysfunction of the patient during surgery; 3, infection: wound infection after surgery, probably due to incomplete disinfection before surgery 4.Secondary deformation: Excessive removal of nasal cartilage or nasal muscle during surgery can lead to nasal deformation, which can be corrected by surgery again after 6-12 months if necessary; 5.Other: nasal scar contracture, deformation, nostril asymmetry, short nose, nostril facing sky.
