Chengjian is an acupoint on the foot solar bladder meridian, and its main function is to treat some anal diseases, pain and discomfort in the lower limbs, and so on. Chengjian point is located at the back of the calf, on the line connecting the acupoint at the midpoint of the popliteal transverse stripe and the acupoint of Chengshan at the depression of the sharp angle below the muscle belly of the gastrocnemius muscle, in the center of the muscle belly of the gastrocnemius muscle, 5 inches below the acupoint at the midpoint of the popliteal transverse stripe. Chengjin points can treat a number of disorders of the anus, such as constipation, prolapse, and hemorrhoids; they can also treat pain and constriction in the lower limbs, or discomfort in the lower back. Chengjian point can be rubbed with the thumb, or moxibustion, acupuncture, stimulation force should not be too large, may lead to muscle spasm. Massage and moxibustion of Chengjian points require a doctor’s guidance, and needling requires a doctor’s operation.
