Survival in the early stages of lymphoma

Survival of patients in the early stages of lymphoma is related to the type of lymphoma, the presence of systemic symptoms, age and gender. Lymphoma is a malignant tumor originating from lymph nodes and lymphoid tissues, which is mainly classified into two categories: Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. 1. Hodgkin’s lymphoma has a good prognosis and can be cured. 5-year survival rate is over 90% in stage I and II, and 31.9% in stage IV. Therapeutic drugs include cyclophosphamide and vincristine. 2. The survival of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is mainly related to the degree of malignancy of the tumor, and the 5-year survival rate is 73% for low-risk patients and 26% for high-risk patients. The prognosis of those with systemic symptoms is worse than that of those without systemic symptoms, and the prognosis of children and the elderly is worse than that of the young and middle-aged, and the survival period will be shortened accordingly. Women have a better prognosis and longer survival than men. Therapeutic drugs include cyclophosphamide, vinblastine, rituximab and so on. Since lymphoma will cause the body’s immunity to decline, it is necessary to actively prevent infections in daily life, take medication regularly under the guidance of a physician, and consult a doctor promptly if you find any discomfort.
