What are the medications used to treat decreased glomerular filtration rate?

The cause of decreased glomerular filtration rate may be acute renal failure and chronic renal failure. According to different causes, the treatment drugs are different, for acute renal failure, prednisone acetate can be used for treatment; for chronic renal failure, such as diabetic nephropathy can be caused by oral dagliflozin, hypertensive nephropathy can be caused by enalapril and other drugs for treatment. 1. Acute renal failure: patients may take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as ibuprofen), aminoglycoside antibiotics (such as gentamicin) leading to poisoning, thus appearing in acute renal failure, which can be manifested as a decrease in glomerular filtration rate, can follow the doctor’s orders to take prednisone acetate, cyclophosphamide and other drugs to ease the situation. 2. Chronic renal failure: According to the cause of chronic renal failure, the treatment drugs are different. If it is caused by diabetic nephropathy, oral dagliflozin, repaglinide and other drugs can be taken to treat the decrease of glomerular filtration rate by strictly controlling blood sugar; if it is caused by hypertensive nephropathy, enalapril, lenopril and other drugs should be taken under the guidance of physicians to control blood pressure and improve the condition. If low glomerular filtration rate occurs, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital in time, under the guidance of the doctor for standardized treatment, do not self-medication, so as not to cause adverse effects.
