What’s wrong with the eyes that are afraid of light and frown at the sight of light?

Fear of light in the eyes and frowning at the sight of light are signs of photophobia. Photophobia may be associated with intense light exposure or with diseases such as conjunctivitis, glaucoma and dry eye.
1. Intense light: Being exposed to intense light can cause protective eye closure and photophobia, and patients usually have no other obvious symptoms.
2. Conjunctivitis: After the conjunctiva is irritated, the local inflammatory reaction will lead to photophobia, tearing, and increased ocular discharge.
3. Glaucoma: Glaucoma patients with rapid increase in intraocular pressure, corneal edema, the patient will appear photophobia, tearing, poor vision and other symptoms.
4. Dry eye: dry eye patients lack sufficient tear moisturizing, patients often appear photophobia, dry eyes, blurred vision and other symptoms.
