What is the DWI diagnosis of liver metastases

Diagnosis of liver metastases by DWI is made using MRI diffusion-weighted imaging sequences to examine liver metastases. DWI is a method of imaging the diffusion and movement of water molecules in tissues and lesions and their degree of restriction through specific imaging sequences. Diagnosis using MRI DWI has the advantages of no radiation, more comprehensive image display, and high diagnostic accuracy. Liver metastases show high signals on high b-value MRI images with restricted mass diffusion. In addition, liver metastases show multiple, well-defined foci on MRI, with uniform slightly low signal on T1WI and slightly high signal on T2WI. Once there is a clear diagnosis of primary malignant tumor in other parts of the body, plus multiple nodules in the liver, liver metastases will be more helpful to clarify the diagnosis. It is recommended to carry out reasonable examination and treatment under the guidance of doctors to avoid delaying the condition.
