What does pathology look for?

The work of the Department of Pathology mainly includes the following three aspects, as follows: 1, autopsy: also called autopsy, mainly to clarify the diagnosis of disease, to identify the cause of death; 2, biopsy histology: also called biopsy, mainly from the patient’s lesions to obtain lesion tissue for pathological diagnosis of a method, often using clamp, puncture, local excision or therapeutic surgery to remove organs and tissues for pathological diagnosis; 3, Cytology: also called exfoliative cytology, refers to the collection of lesions at the shedding or fine needle puncture cells, smear staining for diagnosis, this method is relatively simple, the patient’s pain is small, repeatable, such as cervical cytology, thoracic and abdominal fluid cytology.
