Spitting bright red blood is mostly considered upper gastrointestinal bleeding, such as acute hemorrhagic gastritis, rupture of esophagogastric fundal varices, gastric ulcers and so on. 1. Acute hemorrhagic gastritis is under the action of various irritating factors (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, alcohol and traumatic stress), causing gastric mucosal erosion and hemorrhage, when the amount of hemorrhage is large, vomiting of bright red blood can occur, i.e., vomiting blood. 2. Varicose esophagogastric fundus vein is caused by a variety of factors such as cirrhosis of the liver, resulting in portal hypertension, the blood in the esophagogastric fundus vein can not flow back into the portal vein, resulting in localized varicose esophagogastric fundus vein. When hard food is consumed, the food can cut the blood vessels causing bleeding. The amount of bleeding is usually large and can cause vomiting of bright red blood. 3. Gastric ulcer is stimulated by various factors (e.g. Helicobacter pylori infection), causing local gastric mucosal ulceration and rupture of small blood vessels, resulting in bleeding. Generally, when the amount of bleeding is small, it can be manifested as black stool; when the amount of bleeding is large, it can be manifested as vomiting blood. When vomiting bright red blood occurs, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time and standardize the treatment under the guidance of a professional doctor.
