What to do if you have hard lumps in your breast during breastfeeding

If a lump is found on the breast during breastfeeding, a breast color ultrasound should be performed in a timely manner because during breastfeeding it is easy for milk to accumulate and secondary inflammatory masses to form, and in severe cases there is also a significant inflammatory reaction, with the patient experiencing fever and significant local pain. If the inflammatory mass is confined, hot compresses can be used to allow the mass to gradually subside. If necessary, intravenous anti-infection treatment can also be combined with the choice of broad-spectrum penicillin sodium for intravenous input. It is also important to observe the color of the milk during treatment and to terminate breastfeeding. If a significant breast abscess is formed, the patient will also experience chills, malaise, and high fever, and will need to promptly opt for surgery for incision and drainage and, if necessary, counter-oral drainage, and will require daily wound dressing changes.
