What’s wrong with the abdominal pain that comes with eating?

Abdominal pain with meals may be caused by irritable bowel syndrome, gastric ulcer, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, stomach tumor and other factors.
1. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS): the common symptom is abdominal pain when eating, the pain occurs around the umbilicus, the left side of the abdomen or the right side of the abdomen, and the pain usually decreases or disappears after defecation.
2. Gastric ulcer: eating will stimulate the gastric mucosa and secretion of gastric acid, if there is an ulcer when the mucosa is stimulated, there will be pain.
3. Cholecystitis: the pain in the right upper abdomen usually occurs after eating, and the pain can be hidden pain or colic pain. The pain can be vague or colicky. It can also be aggravated after eating greasy food and is accompanied by clinical symptoms such as abdominal distension and nausea.
4. Pancreatitis: Patients with pancreatitis may also experience pain in the stomach when eating. But most of them are caused by overeating or eating too much greasy food.
5. Stomach tumor: If there is a tumor in the stomach, eating will stimulate the tumor area, causing abdominal pain, usually accompanied by symptoms of weight loss and loss of appetite.
