Cosyntropin, known generically as Skuticosimab Injection, is primarily intended for the treatment of adult patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis who are eligible for systemic therapy, and is generally not indicated for use in patients with mild psoriasis. Skuticosimab Injection reduces epidermal neutrophil and cytokine-interleukin levels in psoriatic plaques, as well as inhibits the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, and is used primarily in patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis who do not respond well to regular drug therapy. Mild psoriasis is mostly improved by topical halometasone and oral methotrexate. Adverse reactions such as nasopharyngitis and rhinitis may occur after using the medicine. Live vaccines should not be used with this medicine. Pregnant women, lactating women, inflammatory bowel disease, should use the drug with caution, allergy to this drug or the components of the formula, active tuberculosis patients are prohibited from using this drug.
