Pus is a thick or thin mixture formed during the inflammatory process in the tissues of the body, and tissue fluid is the fluid present between the cells. Pus and normal tissue fluid differ in the time of appearance as well as in their traits. 1. Time of appearance: In the early stages of a skin injury, the soft tissues break down and from the tissues usually ooze tissue fluid, whereas pus usually needs to be infected by bacteria before a purulent secretion appears. 2. Different traits: the color of pus is mostly yellowish or dark yellow, accompanied by an odor, while the tissue fluid is generally clearer and more transparent, and there is no odor. In daily life, we should avoid strenuous exercise, so as not to cause soft tissue damage, if the pus is recommended to seek medical attention in time to avoid delays in the condition.
