Can honeysuckle boiled in water cure baby eczema and heat rash?

Infantile eczema and heat rash are both Western medical concepts, which can be categorized as milk fungus and prickly heat in Chinese medicine respectively. Honeysuckle water is effective in treating eczema and heat rash in infants, but it is not recommended that infants take or use honeysuckle water externally without a doctor’s permission.
Infant eczema is often characterized by red rashes, white flakes and oozing after scratching; heat rashes are often manifested as light red rashes, accompanied by itching and so on. Honeysuckle is sweet in nature, cold in taste, and belongs to the lung, heart and stomach meridians. It has the efficacy of clearing heat and removing toxins, evacuating wind-heat, and can be used to treat carbuncle furuncle (localized redness, swelling and heat pain of the skin), dengtoxin (the skin appears as a well-defined red spot, accompanied by skin tension, touching pain, and burning pain sensation, etc.) and other skin diseases.
Honeysuckle can also be used for the treatment of fever and blood dysentery (dysentery caused by feeling heat, see blood in the stool), laryngeal paralysis (pharyngeal redness, swelling and pain, or dryness, foreign body sensation, or throat itching, discomfort, dysphagia), as well as wind-heat colds and fever, fever and other illnesses.
Due to the weak constitution and delicate skin of infants, it is recommended to consult a doctor before using the medicine.
