Incidence of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

The prevalence of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is 180/100,000 in China and 200/100,000 abroad according to other sources. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a relatively common myocardial disease with familial inheritance, and common complications include atrial fibrillation or thrombus formation. It is divided into non-obstructive and obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy depending on whether there is a stenosis of the left ventricular outflow tract. The common clinical symptoms are various types of dyspnea, precordial pain, weakness, dizziness, and syncope in severe heart supply disorders. In left-sided heart failure, the symptoms may include nocturnal paroxysmal dyspnea, seated breathing, or acute pulmonary edema. In right-sided heart failure, there is gastrointestinal bruising and edema of the lower extremities.
