What causes itchy eyes?

Itchy eyes can be divided into physiological and pathological, physiological may be related to foreign body stimulation, eye fatigue, etc., while pathological may be related to eye allergies, eye infections and other diseases.
1. Physiological factors: patients with itchy eyes may be related to foreign body stimulation, eye fatigue, when the hair or other objects stimulate the eyes, patients will appear itchy eyes discomfort, patients may also appear eye soreness, dryness and other discomforts, the eyes can generally be relieved by themselves after resting, without special treatment.
2. Pathologic
(1) Eye allergy: when allergic patients contact or inhale allergens, the eye allergic reaction, the patient may appear red, itchy, tearing, itchy nose and other discomforts.
(2) eye infection: due to microbial infection caused by eye infections such as infected conjunctivitis, keratitis and other diseases patients, under the stimulation of inflammation, can appear photophobia, tearing, eye foreign body sensation, itching and other uncomfortable symptoms.
