Hard pimples can be seen in skin boils, sebaceous cysts and nodular acne, which can be treated with medication or surgery depending on the cause.
1. Skin boil: It is an inflammatory skin disease caused by bacterial infection that occurs deep in the hair follicle, and a hard lump can be detected before an abscess is formed. Antibiotic medication, such as oral amoxicillin capsule and topical mupirocin ointment, is needed for the treatment.
2. Sebaceous cysts: a kind of stagnant cysts formed due to the blockage of sebaceous gland ducts, the treatment is mainly based on surgical stripping, and the effect of drug treatment is not good.
3. Nodular acne: It is a more serious type of acne and is treated with anti-inflammatory and keratolytic drugs, such as topical adapalene gel and oral minocycline.
There may be other reasons for hard acne, so patients are advised to consult a doctor in time for a clear diagnosis and then take treatment under the doctor’s guidance, avoiding self-medication.
