Minimally invasive anal fissure surgery can be healed in a few days

The most effective treatment for anal fissure is surgical excision, and the recovery time after surgery depends on the severity of the fissure and the patient’s own constitution, and cannot be generalized. Minimally invasive surgery for anal fissure is usually performed at the internal sphincter of the anus. If the patient’s symptoms are mild and the incision is less than 1cm, the patient will gradually improve and the pain will be reduced in 1-2 weeks after surgery. However, due to more bacteria around the anus and the daily stimulation of defecation, the wound healing time can be delayed and it may take about 1 month for the wound to fully recover. If the anal fissure is more serious, the lesion is deeper, and the surgical incision is larger than 1 cm, the patient will recover more slowly, and it usually takes about 1 month for the pain to be relieved. However, how long it takes to recover depends on the patient’s own recovery ability and post-operative maintenance, which can take up to several months in long cases. It is recommended that patients pay attention to adjusting the dietary structure after surgery, do not overeat, do not drink alcohol, do not eat spicy and stimulating food, eat more fiber-rich vegetables and fruits to avoid or reduce constipation; at the same time, pay attention to perianal hygiene, use warm water or potassium permanganate solution to sit in the bath after the stool, in order to promote the wound to recover as soon as possible.
