The rest time after cutting a polyp needs to be judged according to the location of the polyp, the amount of bleeding from the surgery and the recovery condition of the body, and usually needs to rest for about 3-7 days. Common clinical polyps include stomach polyps, colon polyps, gallbladder polyps and so on. If there are stomach polyps, colon polyps, etc., you need to undergo polypectomy after examination. If the bleeding is small, there can be no obvious abnormality after resting for about 3 to 7 days. If the polyp is large and causes a large wound, or if there is a large amount of bleeding during the polypectomy, the fasting and resting time will need to be extended accordingly. If there is a suspicion of cancer or a large gallbladder polyp, it can be removed by laparoscopic or open surgery. If the recovery after laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery is good, you can go to work after 1 week of rest. If there are other comorbidities or open surgery, the rest period may need to be extended. Meanwhile, after polypectomy, you should also pay attention to a light diet and avoid strenuous exercise. Maintain good living habits and go to the hospital for regular checkups.
