A little blood from the umbilical cord of a ten-day-old baby may be normal, or it may be caused by umbilical cord infection.
1. Normal situation: ten days after the birth of the baby umbilical cord a little blood, may be the baby umbilical cord is not fully grown, and a small amount of blood seepage phenomenon. Usually the bleeding is small, not accompanied by fever, umbilical redness and swelling, purulent discharge and other symptoms.
2. Umbilical Cord Infection: The umbilical cord of a ten-day-old baby is a bit bloody, accompanied by red, swollen and hard umbilical skin, abnormal umbilical discharge, fever, crying and not easy to appease, milk volume decline and other symptoms, may be caused by umbilical cord infection.
Ten-day-old babies with a bit of blood in the umbilical cord should consult a doctor to determine whether it is normal, and further treatment or therapy. Do not treat it on your own to avoid adverse effects.
