What are the sequelae of motor nerve injury

After injury to the motoneuron, patients may suffer from strabismus, ptosis, diplopia and other sequelae.
1. Strabismus: the motoneuron is mainly responsible for the activity of the levator palpebral muscle, upper rectus, lower rectus and inner rectus muscles as well as the pupillary sphincter. After the damage of the motoneuron, the patient may suffer from strabismus, which may be accompanied by eyeball movement disorder.
2. Ptosis: because the motor nerve is responsible for the levator muscle, after the injury, if not treated in time, the patient may have ptosis.
3. Diplopia: After the injury of the motor nerve, the patient will have strabismus, and because of the asymmetry of both eyes, the patient may also have diplopia and other discomforts, i.e. double vision, etc. It is recommended that the patient should consult the doctor in time.
It is recommended that patients with oculomotor nerve injury should consult the doctor in time to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions.
