Is bivalirudin a hormonal drug?

Bivalirudin is an osteoarthritis interleukin 1β (IL-1β) inhibitor, not a hormone drug. Bivalirudin can promote cartilage production, with antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic effect, but also can slow down the progress of osteoarthritis disease, clinically used in the treatment of osteoarthritis disease of the hip and knee joints. And hormone drugs are generally drugs with human or animal hormones as the active ingredient, including prednisone, hydrocortisone, and so on. Therefore, bisacodyl is not a hormonal drug. It should be noted that people who are allergic to this drug or have a history of allergy to anthraquinone derivatives, patients with inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease) should not be treated with this drug. Adverse reactions such as mild diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain may occur after taking the drug. Patients requiring treatment with bisacodyl should use the drug under the supervision of a doctor.
