The early symptom of esophageal tumor is choking sensation in eating, especially when eating dry and hard food. The process of eating is that food enters the mouth, passes through the pharynx and the esophagus into the stomach cavity for digestion, and then is fully absorbed in the small intestine. The diameter of esophagus is usually fixed, usually less than three centimeters. If esophageal tumor or cancer grows, it will usually cause narrowing of the diameter of the tube, which will certainly cause choking after eating dry and hard food. Therefore, the diagnosis of esophageal tumor usually requires esophagoscopy or gastroscopy and pathological biopsy to be clear. For esophageal tumor or esophageal cancer treatment, surgery is preferred. For patients with advanced inoperable esophageal cancer, stenting or radiotherapy can be considered to relieve symptoms and prolong the patient’s life.
