Can I eat more spinach to replenish iron quickly?

In clinical practice, we often encounter patients who are reluctant to take medication after being diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia, and they ask if spinach is rich in iron and if eating more spinach is a quick way to replenish iron. Spinach is rich in iron, but the absorption rate of iron in vegetables and fruits is very low, only 1-7%, while the absorption rate of iron in meat is higher, up to 20%. So it’s too slow to eat spinach to make up for the iron, a large pot of spinach absorbed iron may not be worth a few pieces of beef.
