What are the causes of polyps in the uterus?

The causes of uterine polyps may be related to the following factors: First, the stimulation of inflammation, due to long-term inflammatory stimulation of the endometrium, so that the local tissue overgrowth. Second, endocrine disorders, due to long-term estrogen stimulation, so that the local endometrium overgrowth. Thirdly, patients with breast cancer taking long-term drugs, such as tamoxifen, are prone to endometrial polyps. So far the causes of endometrial polyps are not very clear, such as endometrial hyperplasia, hypertension, diabetes and obesity, are related to the development of endometrial polyps. If endometrial polyps are examined, the diagnosis can be confirmed by gynecologic ultrasound and hysteroscopy, and regular follow-up or treatment. Endometrial polyps are treated by hysteroscopic removal of endometrial polyps and sent to pathology for clear diagnosis.
